The Ottawa Good Food Box (OGFB) is a non-profit social enterprise that addresses food insecurity in Ottawa by increasing access to fresh fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. OGFB offers boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables for purchase that are then available for delivery or pick-up at various locations around Ottawa. A variety of boxes are available and the contents of each box varies on a weekly basis according to availability and best value.

The MarketMobile is a non-profit mobile fresh fruit and vegetable market which sells affordable, high-quality, fresh produce in communities where access to healthy food is a concern for residents. The fruits and vegetables sold on the MarektMobile are selected based on residents’ needs and cultural preferences, purchased in bulk and sold on a cost recovery basis.  The MarketMobile is open and accessible to everyone!

The Rideau-Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre (RRCRC) was created in 1982 to serve the residents of the Rideau-Rockcliffe ward as part of the Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres of Ottawa. RRCRC provides a range of social supports and services that enable the empowerment of residents, community resilience, and the inclusion of all.

Good Food at Your Doorstep (GFAYD) was a joint initiative by the MarketMobile, OGFB and RRCRC to support Ottawa households with limited financial and physical access in accessing affordable fresh fruits and vegetables during the COVID-19 health crisis. Between April and June 2020, this initiative offered weekly $20 boxes of fresh produce with free home delivery.

GFAYD delivered over 5,500 boxes within 10 weeks of operations! Thank you to everyone for their support - we wouldn't have been able to help our communities in need without it! 💕
